How did Abirapro 250 Mg Tablets work?

Abiraterone acetate is a prodrug that activates on reaching the body. It selectively binds and inhibits the activity of the enzyme, CYP17A1. This reduces the production of androgens like testosterone, reducing the spread of prostate cancer.

 

Side Effects

Commonly seen side effects associated with Abirapro 250 Mg Tablets are as follows,

  • Fluid retention or peripheral edema

  • High blood pressure

  • Urinary tract infection

  • Diarrhea

  • Chest pain or Angina

  • Indigestion

  • Blood in urine

  • Skin rash

  • Increased cholesterol levels

  • Reduced potassium levels

Side effects like diarrhea can be managed by drinking an ample amount of water. In case of skin rash, avoid hot water baths or scrubbing or scratching the skin. The side effects usually resolve without any treatment, but contact a doctor if the side effects persist.
